Bylaw No. 2025-12 - Zoning Bylaw Amendment - Reduce Minimum Site Size in R2 Zoning District
The RM of Lumsden is proposing to amend the Zoning Bylaw by reducing the Minimum Site Size in the R2 - Medium Density Valley Residential District from 2,024 m2 to 1,450 m2. The reason for the amendment is to accommodate a proposed utility subdivision in the Organized Hamlet of Deer Valley which proposes to subdivide land from an existing residential parcel which will reduce the site size below the current standards. The residential site size must be reduced to accommodate the subdivision.
A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 8:00 pm in person at the Lumsden Municipal Office located at 300 James Street N in Lumsden, or virtually, via Zoom. Written or verbal submission may be provided for Council's consideration at the hearing, or in advance. Please submit any written comments by 4:00pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
