Development & Building Permits

PERMIT INFORMATION

Development Permits are required to ensure that the use of land and site complies with the RM's Zoning Bylaw.  Obtaining a development permit is the first step for most projects, including:

  • Constructing or renovating a building larger than 10m(107.6 ft2)
  • Starting a Home-based Business
  • Changing the Use or Occupancy of an existing building

Zoning District designations for all land in the RM can be found on the Zoning District Map

Development standards and regulations for each Zoning District can be found in the corresponding section of the Zoning Bylaw. The Zoning Bylaw can be found here (under "Z").
